This “assembly” type program is great fun for young and old alike. The hour long show is made up of great, safe, exciting experiments that are easy to do at home. The show is designed to encourage and excite folks to do science. Our show is different than most because in our show there’s no such thing as “don’t try this at home”!

Science Detectives
Scientific Method
Grades 1-8

At its core, science is a logical sequential way of problem solving and that’s what this program is all about. The students, in small groups, following the scientific method, will perform at least three experiments. At the conclusion, the children will have a working knowledge of the scientific method. Handouts are included to encourage the children to try these and other experiments at home.

Thinking Things
Creative Problem Solving
Grades Pre-8

In our opinion, the most important skills in science (as well as other pursuits) are strong creative thinking and problem solving abilities. This program is designed to teach participants a logical step by step approach to these skills. Several exciting, fully participatory, activities will be used to engage the children (and adults) to practice these skills. Handouts will be provided so the students can have fun challenging their parents and siblings with these games, puzzles and brainteasers.

Popsicle Stick Technology
Technology Exploration 
Grades 3-8

Technology, at its heart, is the ability to create something using the materials at hand to perform a task or overcome an obstacle. Participants will learn that technology is not just the fancy computer and cell phone but is also the simple pencil and the wheel. Participants will also learn that creating technology is within their ability and will do so using simple materials. This program is excellent for building communication and group skills as well.
